Shirley Cecilia's story

Shirley is a female entrepreneur. She is 40 years old and lives in the city of Barranquilla where she owns a confectionery.

She started the business approximately 2 years ago but has more than 13 years of experience. Before, she had worked as a travelling sales agent. There she learnt everything related to the business. Shirley decided to become independent to be her own boss and earn higher income that would allow to improve the quality of her life.

Shirley sells her products for cash or on credit to nearby stores in her sector. She has become recognized there for being an enterprising, responsible and hard-working woman who doesn't give up. Due to Covid-19, health reasons and governmental order she had to suspend her business. Because of this her income has decreased dramatically.

Shirley is now asking for her first Kiva loan with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo to increase the working capital of her business and to buy supplies such as biscuits, sweets, packaged goods, condensed milk, all types of products and brands of packaged goods. This is so that she can increase the sales volume and profit from her business. Support her in this business loan.
