Ford Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the ACE-1 hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting and charging in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Ford Group's story

Moeketsi is a 62-year-old man who lives in a multi-bedroom house with nine other family members including five children.

Moeketsi relies on commercial farming and struggles with buying multiple different fuels on his small income. He spends the most amount of his energy expenses on electricity, wood, gas and paraffin, which costs up to LSL 938 per month. He also spends as much as an hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Moeketsi and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE-1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free.

The ACE-1 clean cookstove is biomass and solar powered.
