Panda Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the ACE-1 hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting and charging in a way that is safer and cleaner, and saves money.

Panda Group's story

Mamahooana is a 45-year-old woman who lives in a multi-bedroom house with 3 other family members, including 1 child.

Mamahooana relies on commercial farming, and she struggles to cover her multiple fuel needs on her insufficient income. Most of the money she spends on energy goes on electricity, wood, gas and paraffin, which costs up to LSL 891 per month. She also spends as much as 1 hour per day gathering fuel and meeting other energy needs, like phone charging.

Mamahooana and the other member of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them to save the money they spend every month on fuel, and also to help them to access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free.

The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on it, please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy.
