A loan helped to pay for land filling around her house.

Roem's story

Roem is 59 years old. She is a widowed woman and has eight children. She lives and works in Bakan, the most populous district in the Pursat province. She runs the family business, growing rice and raising some poultry at home. She has been involved in agriculture for more than 10 years and earns a normal income of USD $5 per day. The main challenge that she faces in her business is the low crop yields caused by insects, and the fluctuating prices of her products.

Because of the shortage of her finances, she has applied for a loan in the amount of KHR 8,000,000 to pay for land filling around her house. With this loan support, she can pay for land filling and can provide her family members with a good environment and fresh air, protecting them from illness while living in good conditions.

In the future, she aims to renovate her old house and purchase more land for farming. She sends thanks to all lenders who have contributed their funds to help poor people like her.
