Rem's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for well digging.

Rem's story

Rem, aged 40, is shown here in her house in the Bakan district, Pursat province. She is responsible for four children, all of whom are under her care and are attending school. Rem operates a rice farm as the major business of the family, and at the same time, she works as a paid labourer for additional income. From these activities, she is able to make around $5.00 to support her family, while her husband is occupied as she is.

As of now, she has applied for a loan in the amount of KHR 7,000,000 to pay for well digging. She is hoping that she won’t face a water shortage in the future or she won't have to spend much time collecting water from the far-distant areas anymore.

She expresses her thanks to all Kiva lenders for showing their interest in poor people like her to improve sanitation and safe drinking for her family members.
