A loan helped to renovate her shop.
Kichiayim is 49 years old, married, and bringing up three children. She has a secondary education. She works in retail, and runs a small stall on the grounds of her home. She is also engaged in animal husbandry and crop agriculture as an additional source of income for her family. Thanks to her persistent hard work, at present her farm has two cows and two horses. She also has 0.4 hectares of irrigated land on which she grows clover. Her monthly income is about 15,000 som (KGS). She tries to use her savings to develop and expand her farm. She has decided to expand her stall and install a container, however she needs money in order to purchase building materials to complete the renovations. She has applied to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 150,000 som (KGS). She intends to use the funds from the loan to further develop her farming business.
