Fifita's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to pay for the baking of peanuts and to hire women to help with harvesting of the peanuts.
Fifita is a 30-year-old single mother of five children. She lives together with her elderly mother. Fifita runs a business growing and selling peanuts. Her mother and children help her with the business, because it is their only source of income. Fifita has been living a hard life, trying to take good care of her children and her mother. She grows peanuts, bakes some and sells, and she also sells raw peanuts. It may sound sad that her children are involved in marketing of the peanuts but that is how they survive. When her business first started, her eldest son helped her sell peanuts around town. Now that Fifita is making a good living, only her and her mother are doing the selling. Her kids are attending school. Fifita is applying for a loan to hire women to help with harvesting of her peanuts, and also pay for the baking. She always dreams of a better life for her children. She dreams that one day, her children will no longer struggle and have a comfortable life in the future.
