Sakyira's story

Sakyira is 62 and married with four children. She has a high school education and is a kind and responsive person. She has been working in animal husbandry and agriculture since 1990 as the primary source of income for her family. Thanks to her hard work she currently has six cows and two horses on her farm as well as 2.88 hectares of land where she grows beans.

With the goal of further developing her business, Sakyira has approached Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 80,000 KGS to buy fuel, lubricant and fertilizer to increase her income from her organic harvest of beans. She plans to put income from the loan into expanding her farm.
