A loan helped to buy oil, basic grains, beef, and chicken.

Evie Karina's story

Evie, 24, is the single mother of one son and is a university graduate with a law degree. However, not finding a job led her to create her own source of income. She currently makes a living selling basic grains and food with the help of her family. She has three consecutive seasons' worth of experience in this business.

This talented young adult has had previous experience with loans through MiCredito and Kiva, which she used to buy rice, beans, sugar, and meat. Very happy to have expanded her business, she has returned to these two organizations for another loan in order to buy oil, basic grains, beef, and chicken. In the short-term, Evie has the challenge of transforming her storage room into a mini restaurant.
