A loan helped to purchase dairy cows in order to increase her sales of milk to a local factory.

Baktykan's story

Baktykan is 46 years old, married, and has 2 children. She has a secondary education. As the main source of income for her family she has been working with livestock and agriculture since 1993. Thanks to her hard work, her farm today has 4 cows, a horse, and a land share of 0.35 hectares where she grows beans. She has a contract to provide organic milk to the area factory for it to be further worked into milk products. This allows her to constantly invest in her agricultural business.

Having found out that at the bank "Bai-Tushum," she can get a loan secured by a contract for future delivery, as part of the "Value Chain" product, she applied for a loan of 100,000 som (KGS) to buy dairy cows, with the goal of increasing her turnover of milk. The payments for the milk from the factory will be directly deposited into Baktykan's account, and her loan payments will be automatically deducted. Proceeds from the loan will help her to further develop her farm and to finish building her home.
