Alex's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to add more products to his grocery store business.

Alex's story

Alex is a refugee, but more than that, he is a father and a business owner. He has a proven track record of success. Since he opened his grocery store business, it has gained a good reputation in the camp and has a strong base of loyal customers.

It all started in 2015 when Alex and his family fled the violence in Congo due to political insecurities. After resettling in one of Rwanda's refugee camps, Alex quickly started his business to provide for his family.

After participating in AEC’s business training program focused on improving financial management and increasing sales, Alex is requesting a loan to grow his business even more.

This loan will help him add more products to his grocery store, offering his community more options and giving him the opportunity to build a better life for his family by growing his business.
