A loan helped to buy supplies for her business.

Sju-San Juan De Berlin Group's story

Nelly, 25, is an enterprising woman who is seen in the center of the photograph with her young child. She is a single mother who is raising her little baby on her own. Her income is derived from the business that she has selling food and drinks in the same place where she lives. But she has to pay rent, and most of what she makes goes toward paying the rent.

Due to the Covid-19 health crisis, Nelly was not able to sell more of her products, because in Bolivia food businesses were shut down. So for 3 months Nelly had no income, but still had to pay for expenses.

Nelly is working so that she can buy her own shop. This way, she would not have to pay rent so that she could save for her child.
