Liliana's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy ingredients to produce more meals.

Liliana's story

Liliana has talented hands that can create delicious meals out of a few ingredients. She learned to cook with her mother in her native country, Colombia, where she had a well-organized restaurant with great customers.

For political and social reasons, Liliana and her family had to leave their country of origin and take refuge in Brazil.

After they arrived in Brazil, she and her husband and son received help from a priest and the consulate, which helped them to get all the necessary documents and to establish themselves well.

As she needed income to support the household, Liliana started selling Colombian food on her bicycle. After some time, she started to make her sales in a station wagon, and currently she has a rented space for her restaurant, which, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is only working with deliveries.

She requested a loan to buy ingredients to produce more meals and meet the needs of her customers.

In the future, she would like to have a big restaurant so that she can employ refugee women and change their lives with decent jobs.

She dreams of seeing her children graduating, of her business running at 100% capacity, and of buying a house in Brazil because at the moment she pays rent.

Liliana thanks her lenders.
