Lillian's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to expand her business by buying more float (money) to meet her customers' needs.

Lillian's story

Lillian is a 28-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her sisters in the Isoka district in Zambia. She received a Kiva loan before and she repaid it. She is now requesting another loan to expand her business. Lillian is a mobile money agent and operates a mobile money booth. With her first Kiva loan, Lillian expanded her business and reinvested some of the profit, and used some to help with her family's basic needs. Lillian is requesting a second loan to expand her business even more, by buying more float (money) to meet the needs of her customers. She plans to use the profit she earns to support her family and pay her siblings' school fees. Lillian will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering three hours per week as a CAMFED Association Business Mentor, leading sessions to teach less experienced local women how to become successful entrepreneurs by developing their business acumen and sharing the lessons she learned from operating her business
