Ruth's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy 46 bags of attieké (fermented cassava) paste to prepare attieké couscous and save money to take care of her children.

Ruth's story

Ruth is the mother of 4 children, 2 of which go to school. She has been preparing and selling attieké (fermented cassava) couscous for over two years. She stocks up on attieké paste in the city market.

She has reimbursed 4 Kiva loans without any issues. She is requesting a new Kiva loan in order to buy 46 bags of attieké paste to prepare attieké couscous to meet the demand of her customers.

She wants to use the income generated from this loan to save to have a place to sell her attieké and save money to take care of her children.

Lastly, she thanks Yikri and its partners for the support they provide to business owners who are unable to use traditional banks. She encourages everyone to protect themselves from the COVID-19 virus.
