Febby's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to expand her business and increase the size and range of her stock.

Febby's story

Febby is a 21-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her mother in the Mungwi district of Zambia. She received a Kiva loan before and repaid it. She is now requesting another loan to expand her business. Febby operates a mobile money booth, and also sells dry fish and groceries. With her first Kiva loan, Febby increased the size and range of her stock. She used the profit she earned to help with her family's basic needs. Febby is requesting a second loan to expand her business by buying more items in order to meet customer demand. She plans to use the profit she earns to help with her family's basic needs and reinvest back into the community. Febby will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering three hours per week as a CAMFED Association Business Mentor, leading sessions to teach less experienced local women how to become successful entrepreneurs by developing their business acumen and sharing the lessons she learned from operating her business.
