A loan helped to do her agriculture business.

Tim's story

Tim, a 32-year-old woman, has been residing in the Soutr Nikom district of Siem Reap province. She was born in an agricultural family, and the farming business has been her main source of income. Since her husband left her with three children, she has tried very hard to raise them alone and provide them with an education.

With her many years of experience, she is an expert in taking care of her rice crops and ensuring abundant harvests each year, except for the year of a big flood. However, the way she does farming is still based on the traditional method.

Due to the rainy season, she has a lot of farm work to complete, and she needs additional capital to pay for her operating expenses. She has applied for a loan amounting to KHR 7,000,000 to do her agriculture business. With funds from Kiva lenders, she will be able to pay for plowing fees, labor costs, fertilizers to care for her crops and some poultry to raise.

She sends thanks to all lenders for contributing their funds to help a poor fellow like her.
