A loan helped to buy a solar-powered freezer system for her small general store business.

Anabell's story

Anabell, aged 35, is an entrepreneur who earns a living through her general store business in a town in Cortes, Honduras. She lives with her three children and her husband who has earned a living through growing cardamom, bananas and coffee for 15 years. They have battled together to give their family good living conditions.

In the town where Anabell lives, there is no access to electricity, therefore in her business it is difficult to keep the products that need to be frozen, such as soft drinks, meat and cold cuts. Because of this, she has the expense of buying ice and it is also difficult as she must cover a great distance to get it.

For this reason, Anabell is asking Soluz Honduras for a loan to buy a solar-powered freezer system, which will help to improve her business conditions.
