Leonor Elizabeth's story

Jipijapa is a beautiful canton in the province of Manabí where the people are very friendly and hard working. It has been severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Leonor Elizabeth lives in the canton. She is 40, divorced and has 2 children from the relationship who are 19 and 16.

She works extremely hard to provide for her children and she will continue to do so during the current public health emergency. She is a teacher at a private school which is closed at the moment due to the public health emergency.

She also earns her living by selling clothes and products from Avon and Yanbal (perfume, creams, cosmetics, and accessories). She had strong sales before the crisis, but sales have since dropped as she has been unable to leave her home due to the fear of catching the virus. She hopes this loan will help to get her business going again.

This loan will be used to buy clothes, shoes, perfume, creams, jewelry, and other products. Her hopes are that the current crisis will pass and that she can get back to running her business.
