Ilda's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on inventory of foods for her little food-store so she will be able to keep providing for her family.

Ilda's story

Ilda is a 44-year-old woman from Korce, a city in Albania. She is the mother of a 17-year-old teenage boy and wife of a disabled husband.

As you can see from the photo, Ilda is a small-scale retailer. She sells some of everything. Since this is the only source of income for her family, Ilda tries to have a large variety of items available in order to give her customers what they want. Ilda has also four dynyms (each 1/10 of a hectare in area) of apple orchards. She sells the apples for $600/year, and her husband gets a disability pension of $50/month.

"This was supposed to be a good period for food-stores but I completely closed my store as I was affraid I could transmit the virus to my disabled husband. Now that the situation seems to gets in its normality I have no more savings to stock-up on inventory of foods and other items. I hope I can have your support for this, so I will be able to keep providing for my family!"-said Ilda, during the interview.

Ilda thanks all Kiva lenders for their previous support for three loans and wishes all the best to all of you!
