Almira's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for her daughter's medical clinic expenses so she will recover her health and will be able to grow up normally.

Almira's story

Almira is a villager woman from south Albania. She is married and the proud mother of two daughters, aged 18 and 9 years old. Agriculture is the main source of income for her family. She has three cows, from which she sells 40-45 litres of raw milk/day and three calves/year. She plants mainly fodder on her lands, for her cows' consumption, but also for selling. She also plants different vegetables, mainly for her own family's consumption.

What has been bothering Almira's family for a long period now is her little daughter's health situation. They have sent her for medical check-ups in different hospitals in their region, but the doctors cannot figure out what her health problem is. For this, Almira wants to send her to Greece, to a more professionalised hospital, so there her daughter can receive proper care. This way she will recover her health and will be able to grow up normally.

Almira thanks all Kiva lenders for the possible support and wishes a prosperous summer season to all of you!
