A loan helped to purchase cattle and sheep to increase his income from livestock fattening and resale.

Baktiyar's story

Baktiyar has successfully repaid his previous loan, and is grateful to Kiva and to all who helped him with that financing. Baktiyar's farm presently consists of six cows, ten sheep, and a 1.7-hectare plot of irrigated land on which he grows clover.

In order to develop his business further, Baktiyar has again turned to Bai Tushum Bank, this time for a loan of 60,000 som (KGS), with which he will buy cattle and sheep to increase his income from livestock fattening and resale. He is planning to put the income generated by the loan into growing his agricultural business, while using a portion of it to build a new family home.
