A loan helped to buy livestock and boost her livestock-rearing income.

Akyl's story

Akyl is 61 years old. She is married, and lives with her husband and children in the village of Kochkor, an area that is both favorable and well suited to agricultural pursuits. Akyl teaches in a local school and has also been raising livestock and growing crops for 26 years. To date, her family has been able to bring the farm's livestock count up to four cows and 25 sheep. There is also a 1.2-hectare plot of land where she plants alfalfa.

In order to develop her farm further, Akyl has turned to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 120,000 som (KGS) to buy livestock and increase her headcount. The income generated by the loan will help her add to her farm.
