Keng's story

Keng is a 63-year-old married woman who has been living in Pursat province, Cambodia. She is responsible for two children. Being a good mother, Keng has tried hard for her farming business to yield the income to provide her family members with necessities. She primarily grows rice in the rainy season, and some types of seasonal crops according to each season. She enjoys doing her daily tasks, but faces hardships in the field because she wishes to attain a quality of life and standardize her living conditions.

To achieve a satisfactory outcome from her harvest this year, she needs additional capital to invest in her current business, which is why she has applied for a loan of KHR 3,000,000 to purchase rice and bean seeds, fertilizers, and crop spray used in her farming business. For the future, she plans to purchase extra pieces of farmland to boost her profits.
