Yom Kipur Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to invest in machinery and equipment that will help in the recycling process.

Yom Kipur Group's story

The group leader is Cristina (the woman in the jean jacket and shirt with colorful stripes). She, her husband, and three children live in a house that relatives are letting them use in Santo André.

Cristina has been a client of Banco do Povo for two years. She began taking out loans for a parallel business, where she would sell crafts and cosmetics to supplement the family income.

But her dream was always to have her own business where she could offer employment and secure her family's livelihood.

A little over a year ago, she began gathering recycling at her own house and selling it at centers in the city. She observed that there are excellent financial earnings opportunities in this business, and she decided that with the help of Banco do Povo she would invest credit in this area.

Today, she is gradually making her dream a reality. From that point on she managed to find a larger space that was better suited to her work, and she devoted her time exclusively to that business. It brings her great happiness because in addition to securing her family's livelihood and that of many others, she is also contributing to environmental efforts.

She is requesting this loan to invest in machinery and equipment that will help with the recycling process.

The group members thank their investors.
