Tuongozane Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase smoked fish, which will reinforce her initial capital.

Tuongozane Group's story

Madam Antoinnette is a client of Hekima and a member of the Tuogozane group. She is 60 years old, a widow with eight children, all of which are school-age.

Madam Antoinnette is a vendor. She sells smoked fish. Madam Antoinnette began her business in 1997 with the financial backing of her husband. Later on, she partnered with Hekima in order to support her business, which has since grown.

With this loan, Madam Antoinnette plans to stock up on merchandise by purchasing smoked fish. This will reinforce her initial capital. The main difficulty her business faces is the rising rate of the dollar.

Madam Antoinnette hopes to use her revenue to fund her children's continued education.

Lastly, Madam Antoinnette would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they bring to non-bankable small business owners, especially in the context of the Covid-19 crisis.

In order to maintain social distancing and minimize risk, only the group leader is photographed at this time.
