Total loan: $550

Isoka, Northern Province, Zambia / Agriculture

Rhodah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy chickens for her poultry business.

Rhodah's story

Rhodah is a 27-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her siblings in the Isoka district of Zambia. She received a prior Kiva loan and repaid it.

She is now requesting another loan to expand her poultry business. With her first Kiva loan, Rhodah increased the size and range of her stock to meet the needs of her customers. She used the profits she earned to support her family's basic needs.

Rhodah is requesting a second loan to expand her business and re-invest the profit. She plans to use the profits she earns to support her siblings and help with the family's needs.

Rhodah will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering three hours per week as a CAMFED Association Business Mentor, leading sessions to teach less experienced local women how to become successful entrepreneurs by developing their business acumen and sharing the lessons she learned from operating her business.
