Malimpho's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the ACE-1 hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting and charging in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Malimpho's story

Malimpho is a 38-year-old woman who lives in a multi-bedroom house with one child. Malimpho relies on profits from renting out her buildings and struggles with buying fuel on her low income. She spends the most amount of her energy expenses on electricity, gas and paraffin, which costs up to LSL 903 per month. She also spends as much as an hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Malimpho bought the ACE-1 cookstove to help her and her family save the money spent every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free.

The ACE-1 clean cookstove is biomass- and solar-powered. For more information on the ACE-1 cookstove, please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy.
