Tenez Bon Group's story

Madame Adeline is a client of the Hekima microfinance institution and oversees the "Tenez bon (Keep going)" group. She is a 58-year-old widow and the mother of 9 children that are all in school.

She sells secondhand clothes. She started this business 20 years ago with starting capital received from her deceased husband. Later, she joined the Hekima program to support her business, which she was steadily growing. With a new loan, she will stock up on 3 bundles of secondhand clothes, which will reinforce her initial stock. The challenge in her business is tied to a lack of customers due to COVID-19.

She would like for her children to continue their studies and to be able to feed her family. Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they provide to small business owners during this global crisis due to COVID-19.

The picture only includes the leader of the group because of COVID-19.
