Ishara Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase meat in bulk to strengthen her initial capital.

Ishara Group's story

Madame Marthe is a client of the MFI Hekima and leader of the village group Ishara. She is a 54-year-old widow and the mother of 10 children, six of whom are married and four of whom are in school.

She sells meat. She started this business in 1980 with startup funding received from her late husband. Later, she joined the Hekima program to support her business, and she made gradual progress.

With this new loan, she will purchase meat in bulk to strengthen her initial capital. The challenge for her business is related to a lack of customers due to covid-19.

She would like for her children to continue their schooling, and would like to build a permanent home. Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and their partners for their support of non-bankable business owners in the midst of the covid-19 global crisis. The photo is of the group leader only due to covid-19.
