Total loan: $275

Isoka, Northern Province, Zambia / Food

Hildah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more fish for her business.

Hildah's story

Hildah is a 35-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband and six children in the Isoka district of Zambia. Hildah sells dry fish. Hildah is requesting a Kiva loan to promote and expand her business by buying more fish to meet her customers' demands. She plans to use the profit she earns to pay school fees for her children and support her siblings.

Hildah will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering three hours per week as a CAMFED Association Financial Education Guide, supporting other young women in her community, by teaching them about financial literacy and best practices for setting up a business.
