Novas Conquistas Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy beans, pork, spices, and also hand sanitizer and masks.

Novas Conquistas Group's story

Valdilene (the first one in the photo from left to right) is the group's leader. She is married, and is the mother of two children. She always worked as a cleaning person since she never had access to an education and was not able to get any other kind of work.

She is a very hardworking and dedicated person. Her husband is a construction worker but their combined income was not always sufficient to support the household, so on Saturdays Valdilene began to sell feijoada lunchboxes (typical Brazilian dish) within the community where she lives. Today she has a great clientele, and she now also sells cosmetics to contribute to their income even more. Valdilene continues selling feijoada lunchboxes and her other products on Saturdays. She always has new products since her customers ask for them. She offers flexible payment terms.

The Banco do Povo has been a principal resource for small businesses, and Valdilene is asking for this loan so she can buy beans, pork, spices and also gel hand sanitizer and masks. She dreams of not needing to make lunchboxes any more, and devoting herself only to her other work.

Valdilene is in this solidarity group with three other members. The group is very punctual and always invests its resources correctly.
