Assitan's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy 85 sacks of germinated millet and firewood and to save money for taking care of her children.

Assitan's story

Assitan is a widow and the mother of four children of whom two are attending school. She is a maker and vendor of “dolo” (local beverage) and sells wholesale to her customers, who come and stock up from her. This has been her trade for over twelve years.

She has paid back her 2nd Kiva loan without a problem and is requesting a new loan to purchase 85 sacks of germinated millet and some firewood for making this local beverage and satisfying customer demand. She plans to use the earnings to reinvest in her business and to save money for taking care of her children. So, she thanks YIKRI and its partners for supporting unbanked entrepreneurs. She urges everybody to guard against the Covid-19 virus.
