A loan helped to buy one bale of second hand clothes to increase her starting capital.

Mashauri Group's story

Charlotte is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and is the president of the banc villageois "Mashauri". She is 58 years old, married and has six children. Two of them are in school, four are independent, and her husband is retired.

She has been selling second-hand clothes since 1996. She received her initial capital from her husband. Later she joined Hekima to support her business and was able to grow it progressively while on the program.

With the new loan, she is going to buy one bale of second-hand clothes, which will strengthen her starting capital. The challenges she faces are due to the rate increase of the dollar and the covid-19 crisis.

She wants to be able to feed her family. She would like to thank Hekima and its partners for their support of non bankable business owners in this context of the global covid-19 crisis. Because of covid-19 the picture only shows the group leader.
