A loan helped to buy fresh fruit to sell.

Mujeres Responsables Group's story

The group is called Mujeres responsables and is in its 24th cycle of the women's committee program, where everyone works and helps each other to move forward. Each one has their own business through which they generate income to help their loved ones.

Maria is one of them. She sells fruit to help support her home. She says that she has had to work from a young age and that she is not afraid of challenges. That is why she struggles to achieve her goals and give the best to her loved ones. She mentions that she is a saleswoman and that even though she makes sacrifices because of her work that she is happy with what she does.

She mentions that due to the COVID19 pandemic her work was affected and she could not generate the necessary income to fulfill her obligations and it has also affected her business.

She requests this loan to invest capital in her business and to buy a variety of fruits, so that she can continue with her sales, and in that way continue to help her family.

Note: In the photo only one person appears, but this loan is a group loan. It was not possible to take the group photo to avoid people crowding due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
