A loan helped to purchase improved farmimng inputs that will increase farm yield.

Agnes's story

Agnes lives with her family in a small village in Kaduna state. In her community, farming is the primary occupation. As with many driven smallholders, Agnes dreams of scaling -up her farm business.

Agnes is working with Babban Gona this season as she will get access to better-yielding seeds, fertilizers and other essential farming inputs that will boost her yield. Apart from increasing Agnes's yield to ensure that her family never goes hungry, this loan will also help the sale of her maize earn up to 3 times in net income, compared to the average Nigerian farmer.

Since she joined Babban Gona, her happiest memory was sending her children to school. With the lenders' support to grow her farming business, Agnes is looking forward to a bountiful harvest. Agnes plans to use the profits from this season's harvest to pay her children's school fees
