Señor De Los Milagros El Zapote Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy manure, fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides, and to pay the rent on his fields.

Señor De Los Milagros El Zapote Group's story

Luis is 29 years old and the father of two children. He has made a living growing basic grains, sugar cane, and coffee for the the last 14 years. He attended school through the fifth year of secondary school.

He began working as a farmer at 15 years of age. His dad taught him farm chores. They all worked together; he and his siblings worked together until they began to go independent as they got older. He currently works in three different agricultural activities on a small scale. During the year he takes daily expenses from the sugar cane, as cane is perennial and can be harvested monthly.

He is requesting a Kiva loan through Fundenuse in order to pay rent on his fields and to buy agricultural inputs since winter is drawing near. He belongs to the solidarity group “Señor de los milagros el zapote” together with Juan, Maria, Martin, and Alexander. His plan in future is to become able to buy a piece of land on which to implement cattle raising on a small scale.
