Total loan: $300

Kaduna, KD, Nigeria / Agriculture

Zachariah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase improved farm inputs that will increase farm yield.

Zachariah's story

Zachariah is from Kaduna, Nigeria, a small community where he grows maize to support his wife and children. Maize farming is the primary occupation in his community, and like many other farmers in his region, the income he receives from growing is not sufficient enough to increase his family's living standards.

Zachariah is seeking a loan to purchase high-quality seeds, fertilizers, and other necessary inputs for farming maize. Zachariah wants to double last year's yield, so he can earn more income. Zachariah aims to use the money he receives from his harvest at the end of the season to pay school fees for his children and also to buy books and uniforms for his children.

With lenders’ support to grow his farming business, Zachariah is looking forward to a bountiful farming season.
