Santa Zelia Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a counter for her cake shop.

Santa Zelia Group's story

Maria (last on the right in the photo) is a widow. She lives with her daughter in a small house in São Paulo.

After getting married, Maria and her husband decided to leave the state where they lived (in north-east Brasil) and went to São Paulo (in the south-east) to find new opportunities to work. Unfortunately, after a few months in São Paulo, Maria's husband died, and as she urgently needed money to support herself and her daughter, she started a business selling sweets and cakes to support her household.

She now rents a place where she makes and sells cakes and sweets, and she has great customers. Because of the COVID-19 crisis, she is working with orders only, which is providing enough income to meet her basic needs for survival.

She is requesting this loan to buy a counter for her shop.

Her dreams are to get through the COVID-19 crisis and for her daughter to have a decent life.

The group members are grateful to the investors.
