Qopu Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the ACE-1 hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting and charging in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Qopu Group's story

Francina is a 33-year-old woman who lives in a multi-bedroom house without access to electricity, with 5 other family members, including 4 children.

Francina relies on street vending and struggles with buying multiple types of fuel and insufficient income. She spends the largest part of her energy expenses on mobile phone charging, gas and paraffin, which costs up to 552 LSL per month. She also spends as much as 1 hour per day, gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs, such as phone charging.

Francina and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel, and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cookstove is biomass- and solar-powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove, please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy.
