Ang Nua 13 Group's story

Yeu, 50, is a Thai ethnic woman who is married and lives with her husband and her children in a Thai traditional stilt house in a poor and remote area. Her first child is studying in 9th grade while the second child has stopped going to school.

Because of the difficult situation, Yeu didn't go to school and became a farmer when she was very young. Like other villagers, agricultural activities create the most income for her family. Recently, she faced a lack of capital to invest in her coffee field, so she decided to take out a loan from Anh Chi Em program to buy fertilizer for coffee trees. This is the tenth time she has taken out a loan after successfully repaying nine previous loans.

Yeu hopes that after collecting coffee she will make a profit to cover her children's tuition fee and also develop her breeding model by buying piglets and baby chickens for raising. She dreams of giving her beloved family abundant life and her children the best things. In the picture, she stands first from the right.
