Mujeres Unidas Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a variety of clothing to sell.

Mujeres Unidas Group's story

The group named Mujeres Unidas (Women United) was formed by friends and neighbors getting together in the city of Caaguazú. They all made it their goal to be able to grow and, by working together, to be able to help their families. They are also in the Poverty Stoplight program.

One of them is Amalia who has made her living selling on the street for more than two years. She sells a variety of clothing and wants to start adding other products to generate more income. She says that since she was young she has worked and she does not fear challenges. She stands out in the group because of her enthusiasm and desire to always overcome obstacles.

She is requesting this loan to buy a variety of clothing to sell and be able to improve her business and keep working.

Note: Only one person appears in the photo but this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo because of the need to avoid gathering in groups due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
