Mapagmahal Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy several sacks of rice, canned goods, cooking oil, and sugar to sell to her customers during the quarantine period.

Mapagmahal Group's story

Adelfa is 52 years old and lives in a government housing project in the city. To earn, she has opened and maintained a small store for four years now. She is thankful to be a part of the group that SEED Center Philippines, Inc. has helped organize in their place. Through this group, Adelfa and her group members are able to access different services, including provision of business loans.

With the Covid-19 pandemic, the government has implemented community quarantines, which made it difficult to buy various items. Adelfa is requesting a loan to buy several sacks of rice, canned goods, cooking oil, and sugar to sell to her customers during the quarantine period. She plans to buy in bigger volume this time so that she can get free deliveries from her suppliers and avoid going to the big market to replenish her stocks. Adelfa will also share the loan amount to members of her group, who, like her, also aspire to stock up on fast-selling items for their respective businesses.

Note: This is a group loan. However, only Adelfa is photographed as social gatherings are not allowed by the government under community quarantine regulations.
