Pantasma, Jinotega Department, Nicaragua / Retail

Las Nubes Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy used clothing and plastic and aluminum dishes.

Las Nubes Group's story

Robertina is 48 years old. She sells used clothing and dishes in the communities neighboring her own. She started the first business, but later began selling the plastic and aluminum dishes.

She has maintained this business up until now with the support of her spouse, who does the buying. She has other income from selling nacatamales [a Nicaraguan dish similar to tamales] and bread, and from remittances sent to her by relatives abroad. She also produces staple goods to use, and sells whatever is left over.

Her hope is to increase her business, and to expand to other communities where there is potential for this business.

She is requesting a loan at Fundenuse with Kiva funds to buy used clothing, and plastic and aluminum dishes.

She belongs to the "Las Nubes" communal bank, along with Aurora, Sayda, and Kenia.
