Soroyiriwaton Group's story

Worokia is the woman in the photo who has her hands in the bowl of rice. She is 58 years old, Malian, married, the mother of six children, and she has no education. She is a creditworthy client of RMCR and her husband is a good farmer.

Worokia trades in retail and rice storage and has been in business for more than 20 years. She buys her goods in the surrounding villages and markets and resells them in the fairs there. The profits she generates allow her to better support her children and help her husband take of their families.

Worokia is borrowing money from RMCR to buy a large quantity of rice to store and resell in order to increase her income. Her only problem is the slowdown in the market. Her desire for the future is to increase her profits, which will help her take better care of her children.
