Thanh An 30 Group's story

Hong, 48, is a Thai ethnic woman who is married and has a son. She lives with her husband, her son, her daughter-in-law and her 2-year-old grandson in a small house at a remote village in the northwest of Vietnam.

Like other villagers, Hong, her husband and her son work very hard at many agricultural activities such as growing 2000 square meter of rice, 1600 square meter of corn, 100 square meter of vegetables, arrow root, while raising 2 pigs, 30 chickens, 27 ducks to have enough money to cover family expenses. Recently, Hong has taken out a loan from the Anh Chi Em program to have enough money to buy a cow with the hope of increasing production. This is her fourth loan cycle at the program. Hong dreams of having a more abundant life for her family.
