Kaduna, KD, Nigeria / Agriculture

Aisha's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase improved farm inputs that will increase farm yield.

Aisha's story

Aisha is married and lives with her family in a humble mud house in a small village in Kaduna state. In her community, farming is the primary occupation, and like many driven smallholders, Aisha dreams of scaling her farm business.

Aisha is returning to work with Babban Gona this season, as she will get access to better-yielding seeds, fertilizers, and other essential farm inputs that will boost her yield. Apart from increasing Aisha's yield to ensure that her family never goes hungry, this loan will also help her earn up to 3 times the net income of the average Nigerian farmer from selling her maize.

Since joining Babban Gona, Aisha's happiest memory is sending her children to school. With the support of lenders to grow her farming business, Aisha is looking forward to a bountiful harvest. She plans to use the profits from this season's harvest to pay her children's school fees.
