Pucaria's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more equipment for her mobile money business.

Pucaria's story

Pucaria is a 28-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband and two children in the Kasama district of Zambia. She previously received a Kiva loan and has repaid it.

Pucaria runs a mobile money business. With her first Kiva loan, Pucaria increased the size and range of her stock and used the profit she earned to support her family's basic needs.

Pucaria is requesting a second loan to reinvest in her business and expand it. She plans to use the profit she earns to support needy people in her community and for school fees.

Pucaria will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering three hours per week as a CAMFED Learner Guide, facilitating classes from CAMFED’S ‘My Better World’ program with students at her local secondary school, helping to build children’s self-esteem, and motivating them to remain in school.
