Mujeres Activistas Group's story

The Mujeres Activistas Group is in its 30th women’s committee loan cycle in which all members work and help each other get ahead. The are in the poverty elimination survey in which everyone strives for a better quality of life for their loved ones so they lack for nothing.

Cecilia is one of the members of the group and she sells clothing. She says her work has allowed her to help support her family and to give them a decent lifestyle, lacking for nothing, which was not her case. She is grateful for the opportunity to be able to join the group which will be very helpful to her and will allow her to continue struggling for a better future.

She is applying for the loan to buy a variety of clothing to sell such as jeans, shirts, pants, blouses, shorts and other items to stock her business and continue working as she has done to date.

Note: There is only one person in the photo, but it is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group picture due to social distancing resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.
