Kuña Kurey Group's story

The group called Kuña Kyrey was formed with friends and neighbours in the city of Luque. They are looking for a way to be able to improve their quality of living and that of their loved ones. They are in their 23th loan cycle with the Women's Committee program. They have been working together and in doing so look for how to get ahead together as a group.

Gabriela is one member. She earns her living washing and ironing clothing. In the months before the pandemic she was making pudding that she sold on order and occasionally to customers who requested her products. She mentions that the crisis that has occurred in the world with the spread of COVID-19 has stopped her from working normally and generating the means with which to help her family and this has affected her business.

She is requesting this loan so she can invest in the purchase of ingredients and can continue to make her products like sugar, milk, bread, essences, vanilla, etc. She is grateful for the opportunity she is receiving to access this loan and be able to get ahead.

Note: While only one person is in the photo. it is a group loan. Taking a group photo is not possible to avoid having a crowd because of COVID-19.
